A French collective is putting forth a €2,000 (£1,750/$2,247) reward to any individual who can decode a puzzling, 230-year old engraving cut on a stone in a remote inlet.

Discovered approximately five years prior, the stone's etching incorporates 20 lines of content in both French and Scandinavian characters, two dates and illustrations of a ship and what has all the earmarks of being a hallowed heart.
